ALBERTO PAGLIARO

ARTIST'S BIO

pagliarosportraitAlberto Pagliaro was born in Firenze in 1972. He graduated at the Art Institute of Florence in Fashion and Costumes, he is a comic book artist and illustrator and he is passionate for videoclip and music.

In Italy he published for the magazines Selen, Kaos, Shock Magazine, Baribal, Next Exit, Black, Blue, Maxim and Il Vernacoliere for which he made the “una storia partigiana” series.

From 2000 he startded working for the most important international publishin houses: Casterman, Dargaud, Delcourt, Disney, Dupuis, Coconino Press, Kstr.

Since 2005 he has been teaching comics at the International School of Comics in Florence.

In 2011 he began his collaboration with the Municipal Theatre of Modena "Luciano Pavarotti" realizing the comics version of La Traviata, Otello (2013) and Aida (2013).

The titles of his works, currently available in the bookstores, are La Mano (Edizioni BD), I Figli della Schifosa - Una Storia Partigiana (Edizioni BD) and Verdi- le opere a fumetti, Kleiner Flug.

In 2016 he published on Dylan Dog Color Fest, for Sergio Bonelli Editore.

In 2017 Comic Art Store released his first sketchbook, Ninfe.
