Simone Guglielmini was born in Florence in May 1968.
He professionally debuted in 2002, collaborating with the magazine Ruoteclassiche (Domus Publisher), for which he drew illustrations of motor racing history. This collaboration lasted until 2005.
Later he came in contact with Eura Editoriale, where he drew a short story written by Roberto Recchioni on Lanciostory and the issue 9 in the series Detective Dante (Kill the beast) again written by Recchioni.
After this experience he drew a book for the French publishing house Carabas (Welcome to Paradise) and he self-publish in America, together with his friend Anthony Schiavino, the Sergeant Zero character drawing the first issue.
In 2010 he creates, with the writer Jay Faerber, the series Near Death, published by Image Comics; 11 issues are published and collected in two trade paperback. The first TP of Near Death was published in France by Atlantis BD and in Italy by GP Publishing.
He is currently working on a new Near Death mini-series for Image Comics and on a crime-action story written by Duane Swierczynski for Titan Comics.
Simone lives and works in Florence and he is the father of Andrea.
